Fascia Treatments
At Playa Fascia and Body Therapies, we offer fascia-focused bodywork, therapeutic massage, and movement therapies tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
Fascia bodywork is a specialized therapy technique that focuses on the fascial system—the connective tissue that supports and encases muscles, organs, and nerves throughout the body. Myofascial release therapy targets fascial restrictions to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore balance across the entire body. It addresses common issues such as chronic pain, muscle tension, and poor posture, offering a pathway to enhanced wellness.
Understanding the fascia's role in overall health is essential, as dysfunction or tension in this intricate system can lead to soreness, reduced range of motion, and myofascial pain syndrome. Through manual therapy, massage techniques, and sustained pressure, fascia bodywork provides relief and promotes alignment in the body's structure.
Fascial Body Treatment Session
This treatment uses Myofascial Release, musculoskeletal therapy, and soft tissue therapies to work on the fascia. By releasing restrictions in the connective tissue surrounding muscles, bones, and organs, this therapy improves mobility, reduces pain, and enhances body alignment. Ideal for addressing chronic pain, postural issues, and improving flexibility.
Visceral Manipulation
This therapy targets the internal fascia specific to the organs (viscera), improving their mobility and function by addressing fascial restrictions around them. It aids in digestion, pain relief, and overall organ health, offering long-term benefits for well-being.
Scar Work
A specialized technique to break down adhesions and tightness around scars, improving tissue function and appearance. This is particularly useful post-surgery or injury to reduce discomfort and promote better healing of the soft tissue.
The Jaw ReleaseSpecifically designed to release tension in the jaw, often caused by stress or teeth grinding (bruxism). This therapy helps alleviate pain in the jaw, neck, and shoulders, especially beneficial for those with TMJ disorders or chronic jaw pain.
